Self-Acceptance: The First Steps to Confidence

Yes, it takes a lot of confidence to be a human. especially for individuals who have previously experienced negative or traumatic occurrences. Even up until he reaches adulthood, all of that does certainly erode a person's self-confidence. The following are indications of someone with self-confidence issues:
1. Having sensitivity to feedback
People who struggle with self-esteem are frequently sensitive to criticism. But occasionally it is employed for subtly critical commentary. People with this self-esteem issue find it difficult to accept that they are flawed, which makes them hesitant or averse to criticism. as opposed to those with confidence. He'll be better able to take criticism coming his way. even turning constructive criticism into a learning experience to become even better.
2. You want to advance your career.
This characteristic may initially seem contradictory when applied to those who struggle with self-confidence. But the reality is this. Those who lack self-assurance harbour self-doubts. He feels the need to persuade people of his virtue. as opposed to those with confidence. He doesn't feel the need to demonstrate his talent to others because he thinks he has it.
3. Too much competition
Basically, the desire to compete is a normal feeling. Although anything in excess is bad, these emotions might encourage us to be more enthusiastic about developing our capacity for good. Therefore, even if they have a competitive spirit, people who have this feeling can't seem to appreciate others' strengths, which makes them always want to outdo others.

Meanwhile, according to the APA Dictionary of Psychology, "self-acceptance" refers to acknowledging, accepting, and appreciating one's own accomplishments and limitations. According to the same source, self-acceptance is the most important aspect of a person's mental health. As a result, self-acceptance is the acceptance of everything that is in us, whether it is our strengths, weaknesses, or the good and bad in ourselves.
So, what does someone with self-acceptance look like? Someone who has self-acceptance, or accepts himself, will be able to recognize his own strengths and weaknesses. He is not arrogant about his abilities and is tolerant of his flaws. In fact, he is able to increase his capacity with the advantages he has, and he does not feel ashamed or inferior with his shortcomings. Imagine if we could get to this point. Our lives will undoubtedly feel more comfortable and calm, and we will no longer be envious of other people's accomplishments. So, how do we cultivate self-acceptance in ourselves?
1. Consider our weaknesses and strengths once more; this can help us identify ourselves and assess how well we know ourselves.
2. Examine your list of strengths and consider how far you've come in developing them. This can help you discover potentials that have been hidden all along, despite the fact that they have the potential to make you better than you were before.
3. Examine your list of flaws and consider whether you can accept them. Or do you still feel sad and embarrassed about your flaws? You'll be fine with two shows, buddy.
First, determine whether these deficiencies are unchangeable, such as physical limitations you were born with, or whether they can be improved, such as a lack of public speaking skills, English language skills, and so on. If you've distinguished them, the next step is to instill in them the idea that everyone is unique. God created each of His creatures flawlessly. Even within the constraints that we frequently define as limitations, God will invariably insert potential for us to develop. We frequently see people who are beneath us. It refers to those who are cruel to us. Indeed, there are many people out there who have physical limitations but are able to realize their full potential. Like someone who must amputate one leg but still manages to win a running race. This also applies to us. We must have something within us that we can cultivate. We simply need to unearth it and want to work on it. You can be confident that one day you will be able to accept yourself completely.
But keep in mind that even if you accept yourself, you will still require the help of others. You will still require a support system to help you with your self-acceptance process. Surround yourself with people who will understand and support you as you continue to grow. Last but not least, don't be afraid to express all of your grievances as you work toward greater self-acceptance. You can confide in trusted friends or family members.
